Changelog Entry
To be copied to the draft changelog by merger:
Description
Adds the -j/--prune-tail-region option to vg surject. When enabled, it reads the left_tail_length and right_tail_length annotations produced by Giraffe (GAM only) and removes anchors lying entirely within those prefix or suffix regions before surjection.
Tail boundaries are expressed in read coordinates. Anchors crossing a tail boundary are retained. If the input does not contain the required annotations, the option has no effect.
